Wildlife Buffer Design
This 9.5-acre adventure park consists of a variety of indoor and outdoor entertainment and is located directly next to Veteran's Park, a county-owned waterfront trail and nature preserve. To address noise concerns from Wild Willy's go-kart tracks, bumper boats, and aquatic putting green, Tullo Planning Group designed a 700-foot-long berm with native landscaping between the two facilities. The berm has proven extremely effective in buffering the sound from Wild Willy's attractions and parkgoers to provide a safe haven for the neighboring bird sanctuary and wildlife refuge.
